A balaclava-clad gang made-off with a luxury yellow-gold watch and a high-performance sports car in a robbery at a skate park.

The gang of five stole the gold Rolex and an Audi RS7 after attacking their victim in Fradley Skate Park in Staffordshire.

An 18carat gold Rolex which matches that shown in a picture of the stolen watch can be bought new from the luxury watchmaker for £32,000.

An Audi RS7 is available to buy new on the German car maker's website for £98,000.

The men, who were wearing balaclavas, gloves and tracksuits, are said to have attacked the the victim before kicking him in the head.

He suffered a facial injury during the attack, which ended when the men fled in the victim's RS7.

The car has since been recovered. However police are still looking for the Rolex.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: 'We are appealing for information over an incident where a man was assaulted and had an Audi RS7 and Rolex watch stolen from Fradley Skate Park.

'The victim was in their car in the car park at the skate park off Church Lane, Fradley, at about 11.50pm on Friday, November 13, when they were attacked by a group of about five males wearing balaclavas, gloves and tracksuits who assaulted the victim and kicked them in the head.

'They sustained facial injuries during the attack.

'They made off down Hay End Lane – believed to be in the direction of Alrewas - with the victim’s Audi RS7, which has since been recovered, and a gold Rolex watch they were wearing.'

A spokesperson added: 'Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 869 of 13 November, call 101 asking to speak to DC Jason Hughes of Lichfield CID or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.'

The watch looks similar in design to Rolex's classic watch the Day-Date 40.

The watch is made out of 18carat yellow gold with a champagne colour, a diamond-set dial, and a President bracelet and sells on the Rolex website for £32,500.

The Audi RS7 features a twin-turbo 4litre V8 engine, with 591 horsepower, meaning it can go from zero to 62mph in 3.6 seconds.

The high-performance car can reach top speeds of almost 190mph.
